Is Your Intuition Lurking - like mine was?

People are often curious about my intuition. It wasn’t obvious to me at all to start with, but as soon as I focused in on it, it made itself known to me - as if it had just been waiting for me to ask it some questions. So maybe your intuition is lurking too!

My mother always had a lot of esoteric books at home, and my intuitive journey started as a teenager when I picked up a book of hers called Innersource - Channeling Your Unlimited Self by Kathleen Vande Kieft (sadly out of print, I think). I don’t think I read the entire book - hello ADHD - but I picked up enough to find out how to tap into my intuition by asking my body Yes/No questions and seeing how it responded.

I got (and still get) a tugging sensation at the back of my neck or in my stomach for yes and just blank nothingness for no.

This soon became quite addictive and I started consulting my intuition for everything that required a decision. I realised it wasn’t quite so helpful about telling me things about whether a certain guy liked me haha but it never steered me wrong with my own decision-making.

I soon graduated to using a pendulum (in my case, a house key on some string) for Yes/No questions too. Yes for me is still a swinging anti-clockwise circle and No is just nothing. Why not clear your mind and give it a try. Start by asking your body to show you what “Yes” feels like and then “No”.

These days I mostly just ‘know’ what I need to do, but on the odd times when I find myself on the horns of a dilemma I still check in with that tug at the back of my neck!
